Scheme for Financial Assistance to Consultants for Participating in the International Events/Seminar


Consultancy Development Centre (CDC) (www.cdc.org.in) is an autonomous institution of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India set up for promotion, strengthening and development of consultancy profession in the county including enhancement of export of consultancy services. The objectives of CDC are

  • To promote development of consultancy sector
  • To promote Quality, Integrity and Sustainability development in Professional Services
  • To enhance capacity of consultants/ experts
 

 

Financial Assistance for various events

As part of the activities for the Eleventh Five Year Plan, CDC has a Scheme for providing financial assistance to consultants for participating to international consulting practices including seminars and conferences relating to consultancy.
The objective of this scheme is to create an awareness and understanding of issues relating to consultancy for the users of consultancy services. The expected benefits for this scheme comprise

-  Increased awareness and competency levels of consultants
-  Development of internal consultants in organizations
-  Speedy and effective implementation of projects/assignments due to clarity in scope of work, deliverables and terms of engagement, leading to better performance and output

The Financial Assistance Scheme is extended towards the following events:

a. FIDIC 2010 Conference, 19-22 Sep, 2010- New Delhi ()

b. ICMCI Annual Conference 2010 - September 22-25, 2010 - Jordan ()

c. 16th World Productivity Congress - 2-5 November, 2010, Antalya, Turkey ()

For Whom

Individual Consultants: Freelance Professionals/Experts/Individual consultants engaged in providing Consultancy services.

-  Men

-  Women

Young Professionals: 35 years of age or less who work for a member firm of a FIDIC Member association or member of CEAI or CDC.

All of these above events/seminars/conference will serve as a forum for mutual cooperation, networking and exchange of experience and information and also help in exploring Business opportunities for consultants in the region. Brochures of the conferences are enclosed.

The Registration fee for the shortlisted consultants/professionals will be paid directly by CDC to the host agency. The required administrative approvals/clearances, all matters concerning Passport, Visa, Health insurance will be taken care by consultants themselves.

You are requested to send nominations as per the Eligibility Criteria mentioned at Annexure-I for consideration to form part of the delegation for the proposed event. The nominations received shall be scrutinized by a Committee and the shortlisted applicants will form part of the delegation.

The nominations may be sent in the Proforma (Application Form) enclosed to reach us by 20th August, 2010. The Eligibility criteria, Shortlisting process and extent of support to be provided by CDC are enclosed at Annexure-1. The Application form is also enclosed.
