Honour and Recognition for Founder Chapter Chairpersons:  There are several suggestions from senior CSI members for honouring and recognizing the contributions of founders of various Chapters across India. To begin with, it is proposed to appropriately acknowledge the dedicated services of founders of chapters which have completed 25 years of operations.

9. CSI Golden Jubilee: The professional societies such as CSI follow a paradigm of Innovate-Associate-Resonate-Communicate cycle for serving the members and larger interests of inclusive growth. It is a matter of great pride that CSI has achieved several of the tasks as envisaged by its founders and leaders. As we approach the Golden Jubilee of CSI, the members across nation are requested to share the achievements and contributions of CSI and its chapters, student branches and members at large. The above contributions will augment the on-going efforts of compiling the History of Computing in India and Role of CSI.

10. Inter-Societies Interaction and Collaboration: Our members across nation have been requested to propose to organize and participate in joint CSI activities with our partner/sister societies such as IEEE, BCS, PMI, IE(India), IETE in addition to nomination of our CSI members in IFIP TCs, participation in IFIP WG and SEARCC activities. Our members, esp student members are requested to take benefits of CSI collaborative agreements C-DAC and DOEACC. With a view to give impetus to the above, about 8-10 Faculty Development Programmes (FDP) are being planned spread across different regions of India. The Chapters and Student Branches are requested to send their proposals to host these FDPs at their locations to CSI Education Directorate with cc to vp@csi-india.org and secretary@csi-india.org

The best contributions in each category will be considered for recognition and suitable reward.

12. Preparation of Electoral List for CSI Elections 2012-13/2012-14: There has been a concern about inadequate turn out of members in the elections for last several years, presumably communications not reaching them. In order to ensure the correctness of the members’ contact details, the HQ has been striving to reaching out to the members and updating the membership database. It is our earnest request to all CSI voting members to update their contact details, ensure the payment of all their dues (if any) and preferably become CSI life members. The CSI objectives can be realized only through active participation and collective wisdom of its members in various programmes and organizational development activities at the national, regional and chapter levels.
