5. Call for Content Development for CSI Research Digest and Digital Library: The CSI members and event organizers are requested to contribute in this national venture of CSI.  The content may include soft-copy of the proceedings, outcomes of student projects and faculty research work, case studies and best practices from the industry contributors-especially involving development/deployment of ICT in socially relevant sectors and especially catering to the needs of unrepresented geographical areas and segments of society. The submissions can be sent to csi-research@csi-india.org with cc director.edu@csi-india.org.

6. Proposal for Establishing CSI Institutional Activity Centres: Many chapters and senior members have suggested for establishing CSI Institutional Activity Centres at large institutions and corporate organizations. This will help reaching out to the members at their workplaces. The smaller organizations may be motivated to form clusters for sharing the resources and reducing expenses. The CSI Education Directorate and Chapters concerned shall help them organize the technical programmes inline with the institutional business objectives and individual members learning objectives.   The chapters and members may send the proposals/suggestions for the above to hq@csi-india.org with cc to secretary@csi-india.org.

7. Call for Hosting State IT Conventions:
With a view to work closely with the State Governments and to cater to the state-specific IT needs of members and stakeholders, it is proposed to host the State IT Conventions across India. In fact, a few of the states have already hosted such conventions in the recent past - focusing on the socially relevant themes - Open Source Software, Indian Language Computing, Computer Applications in Agriculture, Health-care, Education, Tourism, Law enforcement etc. The path-breaking initiatives and tremendous efforts by the chapters and members from these states is expected to strengthen the CSI membership base and programmes. The proposals and suggestions on the above aspects may be sent to vp@csi-india.org with cc to secretary@csi-india.org.

8. The National Council Meeting during CSI-2011: It is proposed to have a very focused agenda for the national council including the CSI Chapters across India. The agenda may include presentation by the chapters on their special achievements and best practices for the past years and future action plans. A few of senior CSI members may be requested to present some historical perspectives of CSI and its chapters, which have completed 25 years of operations. The professional societies such as CSI follow a paradigm of Innovate-Associate-Resonate-Communicate cycle for serving the members and larger interests of inclusive growth. As we approach the Golden Jubilee of CSI, a presentation will be made on the History of Computing in India and Role of CSI.  The membership committee shall also present the road map on membership and chapter development for the next 3 years.

9. The Directory of Distinguished IT Professionals of India: The CSI members and other eminent personalities have been contributing in several ways to promote IT development and applications in various sectors across India apart from their extra ordinary achievements in CSI and other professional societies at the national and international level. Such members are a great source of inspiration for our young IT professionals and the students-budding professionals. It is proposed to maintain an up-to-date Directory of distinguished IT professionals at CSI HQ and Education Directorate. The directory will be shared with CSI Chapters and Student Branches on a periodic basis. Any suggestions on the above may please be sent to the secretary@csi-india.org.
