| Results achieved | : | I tried for attitudinal changes in the exec comm.. Every time I emphasized that all activities should aim at strengthening the CSI parent body. Actions should be results oriented. The Organizational strength must be increased to provide continuity of positive actions. I activated Mysore chapter with the help of the chairman and the secretary. I motivated some colleges to start student chapters. I met all most all of the chapter committees during my tenure. | |||
Annexure I | |||||
| STATEMENT OF INTENT | |||||
I am member from CSI from 1972. I am active both at the chapter level and also at the national level. I have served CSI Visakhapatnam chapter since in various positions from executive committee member to the chapter chairman 1982 and the national body for three years. I was a member of the national executive council and Divisional Chairman for the Business and Industry Group for three years. I energized the Visakhapatnam Chapter and made it very active chapter. Recently it has won the best chapter award also. Perhaps it is the only chapter of CSI which has acquired an office space without any financial help from the Head Office. I have laid the foundation for that effort.
I also was instrumental in organizing three national level seminars on behalf of CSI at Visakhapatnam which were a grand success from several points of view. During my tenure as a Divisional Chairman as national level I coordinated three BIG conferences across India which were well attended and got the appreciation of the national council. I also submitted a draft the mission and objectives for CSI.
I have a vision for CSI which I tried to put on paper at that time. CSI should get a new look and new mindset. Otherwise its future is bleak. Cosmetics changes will not give results. A radical approach is needed by expanding its activities and reviewing its activities from a different perspective. I can contribute in this kind of lateral thinking which is the need for the day. I would like to make a presentation of my plan and convince the National body members and implement it with every body’s cooperation. This is my brief mission for contesting this election.
