MOU with IEEE

An extraordinary milestone in the international collaboration was achieved on 29th August 2009 in Bangalore when the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE), founded in May 1884 and Computer Society of India (CSI), founded in 1965 entered into an agreement paving the way to encourage the exchange and dissemination of technical information, and to promote understanding and cooperation among members of these nonprofit organizations.

MOU with MIEL

MIEL has developed and launched a 4-trimester post-graduate Program in Information Security Management called PRISM™ (PRogram in Information Security Management) . This program is designed to create trained information security personnel at the middle management level. The program is offered by MIEL through partnering educational Institutions. After assessment and evaluation of the maturity of the MIEL PRISM program, CSI has signed an MOU with MIEL e-Securities Pvt Ltd. granting accreditation for the program. Successful Participants will receive joint certification from CSI, MIEL and the partnering Institution.

MOU with BCS

BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT and the Computer Society of India have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the aim of the two organisations working more closely together on a long-term basis across India.
Both organisations have pledged in principle to endorse and share services, publications and qualifications for their respective members.

MOU with PMI

Project Man­agement Institute (PMI), a leading global association for the project management professionals, has inked a strategic MoU with Com­puter Society of India (CSI), In­dia's largest body of computer professionals, at the recently held CSI National Execom in Thiru-vananthapuram.
The MoU aims at implementing PMl's best project management practices and standards and CSIs ICT domain expertise through project management certification, education and research across In­dia in the field of information communication technology It also aims to mutually strengthen and consolidate the geographical reach and capabilities of the two pre­mier institutions to propagate the benefits of project management certification in the industry
PMI (India) was represented by its Managing Director Raj Kalady, while Suchit Gogwekar, Executive Secretary, signed the MoU on be­half of CSI,

MOU with C-DAC

The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), functioning under the Union Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and the Computer Society of India (CSI) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for taking up joint programmes on skill upgradation, training and certification

Established in 1988, the C-DAC has a mandate to carry out research and development in IT, electronics and associated areas. The CSI, the largest professional society in the IT domain, has country-wide presence, with 61 branches and 300 student branches. It has been in the forefront of taking IT to the common man since it was established in 1965.

The agreement is expected to strengthen and consolidate the geographical research and capabilities of the two institutions.


MOU with eWIT (empowering women in IT)

On Sep 3rd, 2010, CSI entered into an agreement with eWIT,  a society that stands for empowering women in IT and is registered under Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act with its registered office at Chennai. It is the intention of CSI to facilitate learning and career enhancement for students, faculty and IT professionals while eWIT specifically focuses on women working in IT, thereby increasing the share and sustainability of women in IT/ITES industry.

MOU with Microsoft

Initiated and driven by Dr Swarnalatha Rao, Chair CSI Division V, CSI and Microsoft Corporation (India) signed an MOU on Feb 8th, 2011 at Bangalore. The MOU provides for the following:

1. Webcasts by Microsoft targeted towards CSI students, academia and professionals on emerging areas like cloud computing, Mobile Applications development, web development, latest developments in relational database technologies and Robotics.

2. Focused Faculty Development programs by Microsoft at identified CSI Chapters and colleges.

3. Joint seminars and conferences between Microsoft and  CSI Chapters / Divisions / SIGs.

4. Exploration of Participation opportunities for CSI members in Microsoft Research center activities.

MOU with IIT Bombay

This Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) is executed as of this 23rd day of November, 2011 by and between

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) having its office located at Powai Mumbai 400076 hereinafter referred to as “IITB” and

Computer Society of India (CSI), a professional society having a registered office at Samruddhi Venture Park, Unit No. 3, 4th Floor, MIDC, Andheri (E), Mumbai 400093 and represented by Mr. M.D. Agrawal in his role of President, CSI, hereinafter referred to as “CSI”.

Singly referred to as “Party” and collectively referred to as the “Parties”.

Whereas 

IIT Bombay (IITB) was set up by an Act of Parliament in 1958, at Powai, a northern suburb of Mumbai. Today the Institute is recognised as one of the centers of academic excellence in the country. Over the years, there has been dynamic progress at IIT Bombay in all academic and research activities, and a parallel improvement in facilities and infrastructure, to keep it on par with the best institutions in the world. Institutes in positions of excellence grow with time. The ideas and ideals on which such institutes are built evolve and change with national aspirations, national perspectives and worldwide trends. IIT Bombay, too, is one such institution.
