Histrocially Bhopal is known for its Beautiful Lakes & nearby sceneric spots, It’s the Capital of Madhya Pradesh. IT here has picked up with several initiatives in few years making the state an IT Destination in the times to come. The state is totally geared up to handle its telecom requirement having 24000 KMs of optical fibre backbone reaching up-to the block level covering the entire state. With presence of public & private players like BSNL, Airtel, TaTa, Reliance etc., The state is ready for broad connectivity to the last mile through State Wide Area Network (SWAN) by June 2008 opening new vistas in e-governance & e-business. Above all the GOMP plans to install around 9200 IT Kiosks spread across the length & breadth of the state to provide all kinds of citizen services round the state.
